How it works

This is how SmashPlay organises your child's padel: step by step.

From registering your child to playing their first match. The easiest way to find a partner, book a court and enter junior padel tournaments in Spain.

The main flow

4 steps to find your child a padel partner

01

Register your child and create their sports profile

Create your child's sports profile in under 2 minutes: name, date of birth, court position and playing style. The app automatically works out their padel age category (Alevín, Infantil, Cadete or Júnior) from their age.

  • You manage the account, not your child
  • Age category set automatically
  • Register several children with one account

02

The club verifies your child's official level

The club where your child trains, or the club running an Assessment Day you sign them up for, officially confirms their level. Forget self-declared levels and mismatched games: on SmashPlay, only a verified club can award the "Verified level" seal.

  • Padel level verified by their club
  • "Verified level" seal with the club's name, visible to other parents
  • Only the club can change your child's level

Smart Partner Match suggests compatible partners

Turn on the search and our algorithm works out the most compatible candidates for your child. In seconds you get a ranked list with a compatibility percentage for each one. The quick way to find a padel partner for kids without chasing anyone on WhatsApp.

  • Automatic mode or manual filters
  • Compatibility shown as a %
  • Ranked results instantly

04

You talk to the other parent and arrange the match

When the match is right, a private chat opens between the two parents to agree on the club, day and time of the first game. You can set up a trial match before confirming the pair. Children never take part in the conversation.

  • Chat only between verified adults
  • Trial match before confirming the pair
  • Look for opponents of the same level together

Beyond the main flow

Everything you can do with the junior padel app

Once your child has a verified level and a confirmed partner, SmashPlay opens up the rest of its features to organise their padel season.

Last step to create a friendly match on SmashPlay: court payment split between the families and a summary with club, court, time and each family's share
Parents → Parents

Book courts and open friendly matches for your child

Book a court at the club of your choice, pick the day and time, and open the friendly match paying only your share (1 of 4 places). Other parents whose children are the same level will see your match in the events list and join, each paying their share as they sign up. When all 4 places are filled, the match is confirmed automatically: no chasing anyone on WhatsApp, no juggling diaries and no paying upfront for anyone else.

  • Built-in court booking at partner clubs
  • Split payment per player, nothing upfront
  • Automatic confirmation once all 4 places are filled

Clubs and organisers

Junior padel tournaments, americanas and camps

The events list brings together the junior padel tournaments, americanas and camps published by clubs and organisers. Filter by province, age category and your child's level. Enter them with one click and follow the status of the request until the club confirms it, all from the app.

  • Filters by level, age category and area
  • Digital entry, no paperwork
  • Secure payment of the entry fee

Event full? Join the waiting list

If a tournament or americana is full and the organiser has the waiting list open, you can put your child on it. Families go in order of arrival. When a place frees up, we let you know and the place is held for you for 12 hours (2 hours if there are fewer than 24 hours left before registration closes). If you confirm it, your child is entered just like any other registration. If you're not interested, it goes to the next family. You pay nothing until you get a place, and you can leave the list whenever you like.

Badges and ranking

What your child can earn along the way

Every match counts. Your child adds points to their season ranking and earns badges: career badges, for the matches they play and the americanas and tournaments they compete in, and podium badges, when they finish as champion, runner-up or third. On their card you see the ones they already have and what they still need for the next ones.

  • Match ranking, with the friendly matches families confirm
  • Competition ranking, with tournaments and americanas from clubs and organisers on a paid plan
  • They only appear in the ranking if you switch it on, and only logged-in families can see them
  • Each season, from September to July, points start again from zero and the overall total is kept
  • A "New badge!" alert every time they earn one
  • Badges are kept while the account is active

Your child, always protected

Your child never opens an account. They never appear in public searches or lists. They never take part in chats. All interaction happens between verified parents, in strict compliance with the European GDPR. The safest way to organise a child's padel.

Frequently asked questions

What parents ask us most

How do I find a padel partner for my child?

With SmashPlay you register your child, their club verifies their level and you turn on Smart Partner Match. The algorithm gives you a ranked list of compatible candidates. You talk directly to the other parent in a private chat to arrange the match.

Who verifies my child's padel level?

A verified club: the club where your child trains or the club running an Assessment Day you sign them up for, up to 7 days after the Assessment Day. SmashPlay doesn't accept self-declared levels: only a verified club can award the "Verified level" seal, which guarantees evenly matched games and avoids mismatches.

Can I book a padel court for my child from the app?

Yes. You book a court at partner clubs by choosing the day and time, open a friendly match paying only your share, and other parents join by paying theirs. Split payment, with no paying upfront for anyone else.

Does my child need an account on the app?

No. Children don't open accounts on SmashPlay. You, as the parent or guardian, manage your child's sports profile. Your child never appears in public searches or takes part in chats.

Is SmashPlay free?

Signing up and basic use of the app are free. You only pay your share of court bookings and junior tournament entry fees, just as if you arranged them directly with the club.

How do I enter my child in a junior padel tournament?

From the events list you can filter tournaments by province, age category and your child's level. Enter them with one click and follow the status of the request until the organising club confirms it. Secure payment of the entry fee from the app.
