The MATCH_SCORE algorithm pairs players by level and assigns courts. Each team confirms the result from their phone. If they match, the round moves on by itself. After each round, the system recalculates positions and tells each pair their new court and opponent.

Urgent call-outs

Fill free places in hours, not days

Missing a pair at the last minute? Mark what you need (a level, a category or a new court) and SmashPlay alerts families in the province who have last-minute alerts turned on and have children who fit your event. You only see how many families receive the alert, never who they are. The event is also highlighted in orange in the list all families see.

Waiting list

Turn it on when you create the tournament or americana. When the event is full, families join in order of arrival. If someone drops out, SmashPlay lets the first family know and holds the place for them for 12 hours (2 if there's less than a day before closing); if they don't confirm it, it moves on to the next one. While families are waiting, places that free up go to them: neither normal registration nor the last-minute call-out opens. You see who is waiting and in what order (first name and initial of each player) and you can move on to the next one without waiting for the deadline. The list closes by itself when registration closes or when the draws are generated.

Automatic ranking and points

With a paid plan, when the tournament or americana closes, each player receives points that add to their SmashPlay ranking. No manual work.

With a paid plan, automatic champion, runner-up and podium badges, plus career badges for matches played and events competed in, which stay on the child's profile.

Is SmashPlay free for padel tournament organisers?

Creating your account and publishing events is free. On the Free plan, your first 3 paid events carry no commission. From the fourth onwards, payment is taken through the app, with Stripe, and SmashPlay deducts a commission only on what you collect. The Free plan has no monthly fee.

How do the first 3 commission-free events work?

You publish your first 3 paid events without turning on payments in the app. You receive the entries and handle the payment yourself with each family however you prefer (Bizum, bank transfer, cash), with no SmashPlay commission. From the fourth paid event onwards, payment is taken through the app. Free events are unlimited and don't count. If you want automatic draws and live results, they're in the Plus plan.

How are padel tournament entry payments handled?

You connect your payments from the app in a few minutes, with Stripe. From then on, each family pays online when entering their child. SmashPlay deducts its commission and the rest reaches your account automatically. Every month you receive SmashPlay's invoice with the commissions, ready for your accountant. No more chasing Bizums, no more unpaid fees.

Can I organise private tournaments just for my students?

Yes. When you create the event, you turn on the 'Private americana' option. The tournament doesn't appear in the public search and you send invitations with filters by province, town, category and level. Each parent receives a notification they can accept or decline from the app.

What do I need to keep track of results during a live americana?

Just your phone. In the americana, each team confirms its result from their phone and the round moves on by itself. If you want to delegate control, you send your assistant a personal link or a QR code, and they access it from their own phone without needing a SmashPlay account.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. You can deactivate your account instantly from your dashboard. If you want to leave completely, one call or email to support and we'll handle it within 24 hours. No penalties.
