What SmashPlay does for you if you run events
Putting on a grassroots tournament or americana is a huge, almost invisible job: draws by hand, scattered messages, chasing payments and praying the places fill up. SmashPlay tackles those four things.
Filling the draw
Families looking for a tournament at their child's level find you. You no longer depend only on word of mouth and your usual group.
Setting up the matches
The draw generates itself, balanced by level, for both americanas and tournaments: knockout, group stage, or groups and knockout.
Running event day
Results from a phone, instant standings and an assistant who enters results seeing only the children's first name and initial.
Collecting entry fees
You can bring payment into the app whenever you like: no more chasing individual payments or keeping track in a notebook of who has paid. On your first 3 paid events it's optional.
You bring the event and the players; the club, the courts; SmashPlay, the technology and the families who fill your draws. Families never pay to use the platform: only their entry fee, as they would anyway.

Paid plans and payment collection are available to clubs and organisers based in Spain.
The 2 free months start without a card. If you don't add a card when they end, you go back to the Free plan with no charge and keep your data. Each club or organiser can only use the trial once.
Are you based in another country? Sign up for free in the app and tap "Notify me": we'll let you know when you can take payments and subscribe to plans from your country.
Plus includes 2 months free and has no minimum term. If you stop, you go back to Free, keeping your profile, your players and your event history.

It's the part that justifies Plus, so it's worth seeing exactly what it does. It's the same engine the platform's clubs use.
Automatic draws

If a player is missing at the last minute, SmashPlay alerts families in the province who have last-minute alerts turned on and whose children match by level and category, and the event is highlighted in the list. Up to 5 per event.
History
Every event is recorded with its results. Your players build up history and level, and you have a traceable record of everything you've organised.
All of this is work you do by hand today or simply don't do. The balanced draw, the live standings and the automatic alert when someone drops out are the three things that take up most of your time at every event.

Visibility: who finds your events
The other half of Plus. Your usual promotion reaches people who already follow you; this puts you in front of people who don't know you yet.
Beyond your group
Families who aren't in your WhatsApp or Telegram find you. That's where the growth you can't force today comes from.
No borders
Any family in Spain looking for a tournament in that city can see yours, including those passing through or on holiday in the area.
Priority placement
Your events appear ahead of others in the area listings within the app, in front of families who are already looking for somewhere to compete.
We don't promise you a number of entries: that depends on your event, your area and your date. What we give you is the channel — a way for families you don't reach today to find you.

Commission: when and how much
Commission is independent of the plan and only exists when money comes in. It's charged on each paid entry: if nobody signs up, you pay no commission.

The 8% is the taxable base and VAT is added to the commission. If you can deduct that VAT in your business, your real cost is still 8%; if not, it is 8% plus VAT.
The payment gateway fee applies whenever payment goes through the app, including on the first 3 events. What isn't charged on those three is SmashPlay's commission.
Paid plans and payment collection are available to clubs and organisers based in Spain. Spanish VAT (21%) applies.
A single americana a month more than covers the plan fee. And the calculation that matters most isn't the commission, but how many places you fill that used to stay empty and how many hours you no longer spend putting the draw together.

Stay on Free if…
You run the odd event a year and want to try it out. You publish without limit and on your first 3 paid events you collect the payment yourself, with no SmashPlay commission.
Move to Plus (€9 + VAT) if…
You run events fairly regularly. Between the automatic draw, event-day operations and visibility, it pays for itself with one event a month.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own courts?
No. You bring the event and the players; the club provides the courts. SmashPlay connects the two sides.
Do families pay anything to use the app?
No, never. They only pay the entry fee for your event, just as they would if you collected it yourself.
What happens when I've used up the 3 commission-free events?
You can keep publishing without limit. For that fourth paid event you need to have your payments account connected, because payment goes through the app and 8% + VAT applies. If you'd rather not connect it, you can always publish it as a free event: free events are unlimited and don't use up any of the 3 opportunities.
If I move up to Plus and still had commission-free events left, do I keep them?
No. The 3 commission-free events are an incentive of the Free plan. From the moment you have a paid plan, commission applies to all your events. If you go back to Free later, you get back any opportunities you hadn't used, but they don't reset.
Does commission still apply if I pay for Plus?
Yes. The plan and the commission are separate things: the plan gives you features, the commission only exists when you get paid.
Can the assistant see the children's data?
Only each child's first name and initial, just enough to enter results. They get in with a personal link or a QR code. It's a design decision, not a configurable option.
Can I cancel whenever I like?
Yes, there's no minimum term. You go back to Free, keeping your profile and your event history.
Does it work for adult events?
No. SmashPlay is exclusively grassroots padel: tournaments, americanas and camps for under-18s.
